VIDEO: Did Real Madrid's Carvajal bite Atletico Madrid's Mandzukic?

Real Madrid's Dani Carvajal has denied biting Mario Mandzukic after they clashed in his side's 0-0 draw at Atletico Madrid.

The Real right-back faces a UEFA sanction after punching the Croatian in the chest during the feisty Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash.

But Carvajal took to Twitter to deny he bit Mandzukic during the same incident in the second half.

"I see that after the game I have been accused of biting a rival player, I want to state clearly that I haven't bitten anyone, nor did I try to," Carvajal posted.

On the field Real dominated the first preiod at the Vicente Calderon stadium but couldn't find a way past Atletico goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

More from Champions League Quarter-finals

The European champions have now failed to score in all four visits to the Calderon this season as Atletico extended their unbeaten run over Los Blancos this season to seven games.
