Nurnberg eye Pinola deal

FC Nurnberg are keen to turn Javier Pinola's loan spell into a permanent deal.

FC Nurnberg are keen to turn Javier Pinola's loan spell into a permanent deal after his impressive start to the new campaign.

Pinola is gaining experience on loan from Atletico Madrid and has played a major role in helping Hans Meyer's men to fourth place in the Bundesliga.

"He has been in outstanding form lately," said Meyer.

Nurnberg's director of sport Martin Bader has already agreed personal terms with the left back on a contract until 2010 and is now set for talks in Spain with Atletico.

The 24-year-old is set to continue in the starting line-up against Energie Cottbus on Sunday after overcoming a kidney problem as Nurnberg look to continue their unbeaten start to the season.
