But former Barca star hints at Atletico interest

Former Barcelona and Real Madrid midfielder Luis Enrique has denied being in talks about becoming the next manager of Atletico Madrid but admitted the prospect was very enticing. Enrique, 41, is currently in charge of the Barcelona B team but recently announced that he would quit his post as he wanted to manage in the Spanish top-flight. Atletico coach Quique Sanchez Flores announced on Sunday that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season and former Spain international Enrique has emerged as one of the frontrunners to succeed him, along with former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez. "There is no agreement in place (with Atletico Madrid) and there are no negotiations," Enrique told Marca. "There are different candidates being talked about every week and now it is my turn. "Atletico is a more than interesting option, however, I still have some games left to go with Barcelona B."
