REACRETIVO V BARCELONA

My favourite player for Recreativo is Viqueira, who is a very slow veteran midfield player but he  is creative all day long.

He is having some problems with the club and is taking them to court which is a shame, Still there style of football has not changed: they play really quickly on the counter attack and they can also pass the ball around.

For Barcelona the story this week has been the future of Ronaldinho. Milan are stepping up the pressure and some people say that he has a pre-agreement with Milan but we will have to see. eto has been put on the market as well, so we will have to wait and see what comes from that.
and the chairman wants Bernd Schuster and another director wants Jose Mourinho, that's Predrag Mijatovic although he is in the weakest position.

REAL MADRID V GIMNASTIC

Javier Portillo, Gimnastic's best goal scorer cannot play because his loan-deal contract says he cannot play against Real Madrid, which means Gimnastic have lost a little bit of their punch.

They have got two victories and one draw in their last three outings. There is a little bit of hope that they will stay up. No team with the points that they have at the moment have stayed up, but each year their is less points needed to stay up.

Real Madrid on the other hand are talking about 77 points to win the league which will have to come from one and half good games.

SEVILLA V CELTA VIGO

Celta are one of the top three most dangerous teams away and Sevilla is going to be a big test for them.

Sevilla need the best out of goalkeper Andrés Palop and striker Fredi Kanoute. If they take the three points, then count on them to go and win the title, but if the drop points like they did last week, well then it is bad news.

Two players to keep an eye on for Celta are striker Fernando Baiano and the midfield player Coubinha who is being followed by everybody.

GUILLEM ANSWERS YOUR QUESTIONS

CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS
Hi Guillem, I'm an avid La Liga fan and was curious to here your predictions on the Champions League draw. How do you see this tournament going? Valencia to knock out Chelsea? Man Utd to run out of steam and lose to Roma? Liverpool to defeat PSV (let's hope so). Who is your tip for the cup? Also who is coming to Anfield this summer following the takeover? Dan.

GUILLEM SAYS: Valencia have lost in the second leg against Inter a couple of seasons ago. The general view is that Chelsea need to play a little bit different in the Champions League. Lets see if Mourinho has corrected that, but I do think Chelsea are slight favourites.

I was talking to a manager this week who thinks that Roma has got everything it takes to beat Manchester United. However the momentum is with United and they should go through.

I think Liverpool will beat PSV, I don' think they will fall into the trap of last season. I have been to Anfield this wek and everyone is very concious of what needs to be done.

To win the Cup? Well I am tempted to say Liverpool. I don't see anyone better than them to be honest., So either them or Manchester United.

I am not the chief scout for Liverpool, but my hope is that they get one of the top strikers. The problem is all the top clubs will be looking for a striker and it is not always about the money:  it is about everything else you can offer to the player including location and style of football.

WILL RAFA RUN TO REAL?
Hi Guillem, As a Liverpool fan will Rafa Benitez turn down Real Madrid again knowing of all the interference which comes with the job? At my beloved Liverpool he is given full control of football maters and with substantial backing could possibly have a very good team and of course there are the fans who do believe in him. There are not a lot of managers with ability out there with, for the first real time the players coming out in praise of him, which tells me they see his vision of the game which should lead to the team he envisages.  Tony, London.

GUILLEM SAYS: Well not to give anything away, but we have an inclusive interview with Benitez on Revista so keep a close eye on what he says because I get the impression that the offer from Real Madrid is very serious and is big in terms of money.

But I also get the impression that if he gets to meet the owners for a second time, they may convince him to stay. It is not about the money, it is about the promise that things are going to change.

TALK THE TALK
Hi Guillem,
The problem with Real Madrid this season is their president Ramon Calderon, just loves talking to the press and doesn't know where to draw the line. I think he should swap his position and become their director of communication. He should allow the manager to do his job. My question is when will the Real Madrid president stop talking to the press? Ayotunde, Coventry, England.

GUILLEM SAYS: He won't stop. People who become chairman of Real Madrid want the world to know that they are the chairman of Real Madrid. It could work cleverly as the press focus on you and leave the team to get on with it and play, but in this case it workd more as a distraction.
