Real Sociedad have reached a preliminary agreement with Porto to bring in Mexican defender Diego Reyes on loan for the 2015/16 campaign.

The 22-year-old, who broke into Porto's fist team in July 2013 and has made 23 appearances since, will join the Basque outfit next season.

A statement from the club read: "Real Sociedad have reached a preliminary agreement with FC Porto and Diego Reyes for the Mexican player to play on loan next season at Real Sociedad.

"The agreement does not include an option to buy.

"The deal will be completed once the player passes a medical and signs the contract after his participation in the Gold Cup."

Reyes played at the 2014 World Cup with Mexico in Brazil and is currently competing with his national team at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, hosted by the United States and Canada.

He will then link up with Moyes' men, who finished 12th in La Liga last season.
