Midfielder displeased at his club's decision to contact press
Patrick Vieira has questioned Internazionale's decision to contact the press when issuing their demands for the Frenchman not to feature for his country.
The Serie A club were keen for Vieira to be given more time to overcome the thigh injury he sustained in France's friendly against Slovakia.
But the former Arsenal man returned for the Group B clash against Italy at the San Siro, and is set start in Wednesday's clash against Scotland.
Vieira voiced his disappointment at not being contacted directly, and has insisted that he has not aggravated his injury.
Controversy
"The controversy has started as they preferred to talk to the newspapers rather than calling me," Vieira told L'Equipe.
"If they had things to say, they should call me directly.
"I am not angry, I am just disappointed, because I have not been used to that.
"Anyway, I am fine. I played 90 minutes in Italy. I recover quickly, I will go back to Internazionale raising my head high."
