Udinese and Genoa progress after extra-time wins
Udinese advanced to the fifth round of the Coppa Italia with a 2-1 win over Lecce, while Genoa joined them after a 3-1 triumph against Vicenza.
Both ties went to extra time on Wednesday evening and it was especially dramatic for the
Bianconeri who had to rely on a last minute goal from Antonio Floro Flores.
Lecce broke the deadlock in the Stadio Friuli when Javier Chevanton, fresh from his weekend sending-off, scored in the 18th minute.
But Bernardo Corradi equalised just 12 minutes before the final whistle to send the game into extra time.
Floro Flores then netted the winner in the dying seconds to put Udinese in the last 16, after a thrilling encounter.
Meanwhile,
Genoa beat Serie B opponents
Vicenza 3-1 with the match again going into extra time.
Vicenza took a shock lead but Luca Toni levelled the scores from the penalty spot with two minutes of normal time remaining.
Toni then doubled his tally to put Genoa in front in the 93rd minute, before Mattia Destro netted a third and secured their safe passage.
