Juventus legend plans to continue playing

Juventus forward Alessandro Del Piero has confirmed that he will not retire from football at the end of the season. The former Italy international will leave the Turin giants next summer following the expiry of his current contract, as he has been told that he will not be given a new deal. There have been suggestions that the 36-year-old could hang up his boots after the current campaign following an illustrious career during which he has won the Serie A five times, the Champions League once and the World Cup in 2006. However, Del Piero has dismissed those reports and told Rai TV: "My future after 30th June 2012 is that of a football player. I will continue playing." Italian giants AC Milan and Swiss outfit FC Sion are said to be interested to sign Del Piero when he leaves Juve in June next year.
