Nigeria international the subject of interest from abroad
AC Milan defender Taye Taiwo has scotched rumours he will leave the club in the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old signed for Italian giants in the close season but has struggled to find regular football under coach Massimiliano Allegri.
His lack of involvement has led to speculation that he could leave in the January transfer window, with Benfica reportedly leading the chase for his signature.
Rumours
Fabio Parisi, who represents the Nigeria international, told
calciomercato.com: "I don't think that any of these rumours will materialise into anything.
"He is having a great time at AC Milan and in time he will get more chances to play. I have not had any contact with Benfica's representatives."
On the speculation linking Taiwo with a switch to the Premier League, Parisi added: "There is nothing concrete. He has only been at Milan for a short period of time and his goal now is to get in the team, so that he can make a larger contribution."
