Italy international wants to maintain his focus on football

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has stated he is in no hurry to sign a contract extension with the Serie A club. The 34-year-old's current contract expires in June 2013 and there had been reports that he had already begun talks about a new deal with the Turin outfit. However, the Italy international was keen to scotch those rumours and maintain his focus on the club's results. "We are not talking about a renewal right now," Buffon told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "The most important thing is concentrating fully on what is happening on the pitch. The rest can sort itself out after without any kinds of problems whatsoever." Buffon has earned a reputation as one of the best keepers in the world in more than a decade with Juve. His form this season has been excellent and is one of the main reasons Juve are unbeaten in Serie A and have conceded just 12 goals in 21 games.
