Left-back officially signs for Giuseppe Meazza giants
Inter Milan have announced they have completed the signing of versatile Uruguayan Alvaro Pereira from Porto on a four-year contract.
Porto had last Thursday confirmed the deal to the Portuguese stock market, revealing a fee of €10million (£8m).
And Pereira's move to Serie A has now been finalised after Inter submitted the necessary documentation to Italian league officials.
"Alvaro Pereira is officially an Inter player," read a statement.
"The documents for the sale of the Uruguayan player as a permanent deal from Porto have been presented at the Serie A offices. Pereira has signed a four-year deal."
Pereira has long been linked with a move away from Porto and last summer was close to joining Chelsea.
The 26-year-old left-back, who can also play in midfield, joined Porto in 2009 and was a part of the team who won the Europa League in 2011.
Pereira also helped Uruguay win the Copa America that same year.
