Napoli are in talks with Inter Milan over the transfer of Mauro Icardi, according to Sky Italia.
They are looking to sign the striker for around 40m euros, but sources in Italy say they could pay up to 55m euros for his services.
The Napoli chairman, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is meeting Inter representatives in Verona, while Icardi's agent and wife Wanda Nara is said to be leading the negotiations.
However, she has tweeted she is still in Milan, saying on her personal page: "Meeting is with an intermediary. I am in my office in Milan."
If the transfer goes through, it seems that Gonzalo Higuain's move to Juventus will also happen after Sky Italia also reported this week that the forward has undergone a medical and agreed a deal to join the Serie A champions.
Both deals could be done in the next couple of days, which will see Icardi leave the club he captained during the 2015/16 season.
He has made 102 appearances in all competitions for Inter in three years at the club, netting 52 goals in the process - including 47 in 88 Serie A games.
