Moratti delight at Ronaldo goal
Inter have stood by Ronaldo through his four years of recuperation, and Moratti was delighted when 'Il Phenomenon' grabbed the opener in a 2-1 win over Turkey.
Moratti has been a particular friend to the Brazilian striker throughout his lengthy recovery from knee injury, and he insists that a rejuvenated Ronaldo will remain an Inter man.
"I saw the Brazil -Turkey match and I jumped when Ronaldo scored the tying goal," said Moratti.
"We are talking about an important player, who recovered from a terrible knee injury.
"He will remain with Inter for quite awhile."
A further rumour revolved around Christian Vieri - another Inter man who has already had a major impact on the World Cup.
Vieri, who was rumoured to be subject of a swap offer with Milan's Andrei Shevchenko, scored twice in Italy's 2-0 against Ecuador, and he will also remain at Giuseppe Meazza.
"For Vieri there is little to say, it is great to see that he his scoring with the national team," added Moratti.
"Vieri will also remain with Inter and I have not discussed anything about that possible trade - Vieri for Shevchenko."
