Inter boss Jose Mourinho has been handed a three-match touchline ban, with punishments for four of his players.

Former Chelsea boss punished for handcuffs gesture

Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho has been banned from sitting in the dugout for the next three Serie A games, as four of his playing squad were also hit with disciplinary action. The Italian FA confirmed in a statement that Mourhino would be banned from the touchline for the next three matches after making a handcuffs gesture in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Sampdoria. The 47-year-old's action has been interpreted as a suggestion his side were being victimised by the match officials during the draw. Mourinho's indication came after he said on Friday: "I don't stick my head in the sand, I know there is only one team (in Italy) that has a penalty area 25 metres long." The outspoken boss was referring to a penalty awarded to Juventus when Alessandro Del Piero was fouled outside the area in a recent Serie A encounter. He will now not be allowed in the dugout for the games against Udinese, Genoa and Catania. The Portuguese manager - preparing his side for the UEFA Champions League clash with former club Chelsea on Wednesday - will have his defensive options hampered when they return to domestic action. Walter Samuel and Ivan Cordoba, who were both sent off in the Sampdoria draw, have received one-game bans. Midfield pair Esteban Cambiasso and Sulley Muntari have also received two-match suspensions for off-the-field incidents.
