Lyon left-back linked with Inter switch

Michel Bastos has hinted that he could leave Lyon after admitting he has always been interested in playing in Serie A. Bastos, currently at the World Cup in South Africa with Brazil, has earned rave reviews for his performances at club level over the past few years. He moved to Europe with Lille in 2006 before making the switch to Lyon last summer, but speculation has now surfaced that he could soon be on his way out of France. Inter Milan have been heavily linked with a swoop for the 26-year-old, with many of his Brazil team-mates already plying their trade at the Giuseppe Meazza. Bastos remains under contract at Lyon and has previously stated that he remains happy with the club, but it appears he would find it hard to ignore interest from Italy. "Serie A is my dream since I was a boy," Bastos told Gazzetta dello Sport. "My heroes have played in Italy - Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho."
