Argentine a doubt for Spurs clash; Cesar also carrying problem

Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso is a major doubt for Tuesday's UEFA Champions League trip to Tottenham due to a hamstring injury. The Argentine suffered the problem during Friday night's 1-0 win over Genoa in Serie A and he was forced off after only 19 minutes. Cambiasso underwent scans on Saturday and they revealed damage to his left thigh which has put his participation against Spurs in doubt. The 30-year-old had only just returned to fitness following a similar thigh complaint at the beginning of October. Inter manager Rafa Benitez will be frustrated by the developments as goalkeeper Julio Cesar is also a doubt after sustaining an almost identical injury on his right leg. Cesar's fitness problem is not thought to be as serious as Cambiasso's but Inter will still be concerned ahead of what is expected to be a tough night at White Hart Lane. Inter defeated Harry Redknapp's men in Italy in their last outing, however, Benitez's side were left feeling frustrated having gone in at half-time with a four-goal advantage against 10 men.
