Midfielder shrugs off transfer talk
David Pizarro has declared that he remains committed to Roma and intends to honour his contract.
The former Chile international is tied to the Serie A club until 2013 but has still attracted widespread attention.
Reports suggest he is wanted in Greece and Turkey as well as by some rivals in Italy, but the 31-year-old midfielder has no intention of going anywhere.
He is determined to help Roma bounce back from a relatively disappointing campaign, when they finished sixth in the league, and challenge for silverware next season.
"We are waiting for new players that will reinforce the team," Pizarro told
Prensa Futbol.
"It's going to be a difficult season but I want to stay at Roma.
"Besides, I want to respect my contract that expires in 2013 and my idea is to win something."
