Carlo to support Rivaldo

CARLO ANCELOTTI has stressed that Milan will do all they can to help Rivaldo through his personal malaise.

Rivaldo admitted earlier in the week that he has found it hard to adjust to the lifestyle in Italy, and the country`s media have claimed family troubles are the root cause of his problems.

The Brazilian superstar is separated from his wife, meaning he is a long way from his children and the media feel this is why he has not produced his best at the San Siro.

Ancelotti feels it is best for family problems to be sorted out privately, but he is prepared to support the former Barcelona forward throughout.

'We will certainly help him as far as we can," said Ancelotti.

"In general, if a player has family problems, I think he must try to get over them himself.

"What we can do is to be close to him, give him confidence and help him to reach his top physical condition. And we will do it."

Meanwhile, Ancelotti has admitted he will adapt his system to the type of opposition they face.

The coach deviated from his usual three-man attack to a 4-4-2 with great effect against Juventus, but the old formation could return in the future.

Ancelotti stated: "We will use the 4-4-2 again against certain teams, but other times we will stick to what has been our usual system this season with a three-man attack and three midfielders."
