Ancelotti predicts Rivaldo revival

MILAN coach Carlo Ancelotti has predicted that the club will see the best of Rivaldo this forthcoming season.

The Brazilian ace struggled in his first season at the Giuseppe Meazza last season.

The former Barcelona star found himself in and out of the team due to bad form and a series of injuries, but Ancelotti expects him to bounce back this year.

"Next year will be Rivaldo's year, I don't see why it should not be so," said Ancelotti. "He is a champion who I see train well every day, he will play next season with the right spirit."

Ancelotti is also expecting big things from Argentine ace Fernando Redondo.

The former Real Madrid made his long-awaited return to action last season after two seasons out with serious knee problems and Ancelotti feels he will benefit from a full pre-season training schedule.

"Redondo for the first time has participated in a full a pre-season camp, he will be soon at his best," added Ancelotti.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti has ruled out a move for Brazilian star Kaka.

Reports in Italy have suggested that Milan are preparing a move for the Sao Paulo star, but Ancelotti admitted although he was an admirer of the midfielder he would not be making an offer for the South American.

"Kaka ? He's a young and quality player. He could interest us but surely not now," said Ancelotti.
