Ghirardi expects striker to stay with Milan
Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi has insisted he is not planning a January raid on AC Milan for Filippo Inzaghi.
Parma have been linked with several high-profile players and reports had suggested Inzaghi was one of their main targets.
The veteran striker is out of contract with the Rossoneri next summer and, with an extension yet to be agreed, has been tipped to move on in the New Year.
The fact that Ghirardi knows Inzaghi personally has further fuelled the speculation but the Parma official has ruled out a move.
Ghirardi has also told supporters not to expect a spending spree when the transfer window reopens as he does not believe Parma need to strengthen.
"I am good friends with Inzaghi and I am always talking with him," Ghirardi told
La Repubblica.
"However, he is a Milan player and will remain so.
"We would be crazy to think about making transfers as we are fourth in the table. We will be giving space to younger players coming through instead."
