Rossoneri claim a point, Viola's misery continues

AC Milan battled from a goal down to draw with Catania while Lazio ensured Fiorentina's slow start to the campaign continued. Filippo Inzaghi has scored a first half injury time equaliser for AC Milan to earn a 1-1 draw with Catania. Ciro Capuano gave Catania the lead in the 27th having enjoyed the better of the match. Inzaghi, who partnered Milan new boy Zlatan Ibrahimovic in attack, struck from close range after linking up with Brazilian Ronaldinho. The San Siro result means Milan and Catania now both have four points in the early stages of the new campaign. Lazio ensured Fiorentina's miserable start to the Serie A season continued with a 2-1 win at Artemio Franchi. Adem Ljajic put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot on 19 minutes before Cristian Ledesma struck back just after the half hour and Libor Kozak netted the second-half winner when Sebastien Frey could only parry a Hernanes shot. The Florence club, who reached the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League last term, lost coach Cesare Prandelli to Italy in the close season and failed to significantly strengthen in the transfer window. Confident Lazio, strugglers in recent years, have six points from three matches while Fiorentina have just one point from their three games.
