Midfielder plans to respect long-term contract

AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has expressed his happiness with life at the San Siro and intends to honour his long-term contract. Boateng joined the Rossoneri from Portsmouth almost 18 months ago after regularly changing clubs earlier in his career. His deal with Milan does not expire until 2015 and he is pleased to have that sort of security as he does not plan to go anywhere. "Right now I'm fine and I want to stay here," said Boateng, who has previously spent time with Tottenham, Hertha Berlin and Borussia Dortmund.

Respect

"I have a contract for another four years and my desire is to respect it. They are a great club and in a big city. "Later in life you never know what can happen." Milan are currently second in Serie A, level on points with Udinese and two behind unbeaten leaders Juventus. "This year the Juventus team is very strong. I think they will be our main rival for the title," Boateng told Corriere dello Sport. "Juventus are a compact team, there is great chemistry between the players and departments."
