Paris St Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti has hinted that he will make a fresh approach for AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato in the summer.
The Brazil international was a top target for PSG during the January transfer window, with a fee for his services agreed with Milan at one stage.
In the end Pato opted to commit himself to the Rossoneri, stating that he had no desire to make a move elsewhere.
PSG are refusing to accept defeat in their efforts to take the 22-year-old to France, though, and former Milan coach Ancelotti admits he is still in the market for a new frontman.
"There is an attacker in the future of PSG and Pato is a great attacker," he told
Corriere dello Sport.
Priority
Pato was not the only striker PSG expressed an interest in during the winter transfer window, with Manchester City's Carlos Tevez also figuring prominently on their wish list.
Discussions were held regarding a possible switch, but Ancelotti claims the Argentina international had set his heart on making a move to Italy.
"His priority was Milan," he said.
"When we negotiated for him his requests were so high that in the end it was actually us who didn't accept."
