CSKA Moscow secured top spot in Group F after enjoying a 5-1 rout against Lausanne Sports, while Sparta Prague are also into the Europa League's last 32.
CSKA went into matchday five as clear leaders of the group, five points clear of Sparta, and they made sure of going into the knock-out stage as group winners with a thumping victory over
Lausanne in Moscow.
The hosts were certain of maintaining their 100% record at half-time after first-half strikes by Tomas Necid, Sekou Oliseh and Zoran Tosic.
Alan Dzagoev got on the scoresheet with 18 minutes left and Necid scored his second before Lausanne substitute Abdul Carrupt claimed a late consolation for the Swiss visitors.
Sparta Prague secured their passage by twice coming from behind to claim a 2-2 draw at away to
Palermo, who finished with nine men.
Palermo needed a win to keep alive their qualification hopes and Nicola Rigoni's 25-yard strike put the Italians into a 24th-minute lead.
Team-mate Dorin Goian was booked just a minute before the break and was given his marching orders five minutes after the restart when he was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Wilfried Bony.
Two penalties
That resulted in a Sparta spot-kick and the visitors equalised as Francesco Benussi just failed to get a hand to Jiri Kladrubsky's penalty.
But the hosts had a spot-kick of their own in the 59th minute after Fabio Liverani was brought down by Kamil Vacek, and Mauricio Pinilla fired low to Jaromir Blazek's right to put Palermo back in front.
Yet Sparta again fought back as Juraj Kucka headed them level just four minutes later.
Palermo pushed forward in search of the goal they needed to take second spot down to the final group game and late sub Fabrizio Miccoli fired narrowly wide as time was running out.
But their hopes were dashed when Javier Pastore became the second Palermo player to be sent off as he was shown a second yellow card for lashing out in stoppage time.
