Serie A newcomers

Crotone.
Cagliari had no such problems, with Joaquin Larrivey's hat-trick the highlight of a 5-1 defeat of
Albinoleffe, who had defender Matteo Piccini sent off 10 minutes before half-time.

Grossetto, while
Bari and
Novara were convincing 4-0 conquerors of
Avellino and
Triestina respectively.
