Striker set for summer switch to Italy

Cagliari have agreed a deal to sign Moestafa El Kabir from Swedish club Mjallby at the end of the season. Cagliari have been keeping tabs on the 22-year-old forward for some time and have been sufficiently impressed to enter negotiations with Mjallby. Mjallby have now accepted an offer they are happy with and will keep El Kabir until the summer. He just has to journey to Sardinia to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms, before officially linking up with Roberto Donadoni's side. "We have agreed with Cagliari and I will travel to Italy with Moestafa tomorrow for the medical and thereafter conclude the deal," Mjallby sporting director Thomas Borstam told Fotbolldirekt.com. "We have done a good deal and he will not leave until August." Cagliari have enjoyed a fine season in Serie A and are currently ninth in the standings with six games remaining.
