Uribe signs three-year deal with Serie A strugglers
Chievo have bolstered their ranks with the signing of Colombian striker Fernando Uribe.
The 23-year-old attracted the attention of European clubs with a succession of impressive performances in his homeland for Once Caldas.
Palermo were also thought to be interested but Chievo have won the chase for his signature, agreeing an undisclosed fee with Once Caldas.
Uribe spoke with compatriot and former Chievo player Mario Yepes before penning a three-year deal.
He describes himself as a player who is prepared to work hard in defence as well as attack, but it his goalscoring potential that Chievo will be most excited about.
Stefano Pioli's men have scored just 20 times in 21 league matches this season and are currently just five points above the Serie A relegation zone in 14th place.
