Manager back for second spell

Domenico Di Carlo has taken charge of Chievo for a second time following Stefano Pioli's recent departure from the club. Pioli left Chievo looking for a new manager after making an exit at the end of the season, while he was later appointed by Palermo. Chievo have now made the decision to hand the reins back to Di Carlo, who was at the helm from November 2008 to June 2010. Di Carlo has spent most of the last year with Sampdoria but failed to find success and was sacked in March as the club headed towards relegation. He has now signed a one-year contract with Chievo and will be officially presented to the media on Friday. Chievo will be looking to improve on a respectable 11th-placed finish in Serie A when the new season begins.
