Azzurri snap up midfielder in exchange for duo

Napoli have completed the capture of Blerim Dzemaili from Parma, with Manuele Blasi and Fabiano Santacroce going the other way as part of the deal. Swiss international Dzemaili, a former Bolton player, joins the Azzurri on a five-year contract after talks were successfully concluded. Santacroce, a 24-year-old defender, arrives at Parma on loan with an option to buy next year, while 30-year-old Blasi rejoins the Gialloblu on a permanent basis, seven years after departing Parma for Juventus. Midfielder Dzemaili says he is delighted to make the move south to Naples.

Ready

He told Uefa's official website: "I really wanted to join Napoli. I am joining a very strong team with amazing fans. I am ready for this new adventure." The midfielder, capped 13 times for Switzerland, made 49 Serie A appearances for Parma over the last two seasons. He joined the club in 2009 following stints with FC Zurich, Bolton and Torino. Meanwhile, Napoli have also announced that defender Gianluca Grava has penned a contract extension to keep him at the club until June 2012.
