Milan have surprisingly brought in goalkeeper Dimitrios Eleftheropoulos from Messina. The Rossoneri have moved for the Greek shot-stopper after loaning out Christian Abbiati to Genoa.
Carlo Ancelotti had been looking for a replacement for Abbiati to ensure he had sufficient cover for number one Dida.
Perugia's Australian international Zeljko Kalac was also under consideration but Ancelotti has plumped for Eleftheropoulos.
The 28-year-old has signed a 12-month deal with Milan after spending last season gaining experience in Italy with Messina.
The former Olympiakos custodian is unlikely to see much first-team action at San Siro but will prove to be a useful back-up to Dida.
