St Pauli midfielder Matthias Lehmann has signed a two-year contract extension at Millerntor-Stadion.
The 27-year-old had one year left on his previous deal and so is now tied to the Bundesliga outfit, who sit two points above the relegation zone, until 2013.
Manager Holger Stanislawski is happy to have ended any uncertainty regarding former Germany Under 21 international Lehmann's future.
Stanislawski told St Pauli's
official website: "Matze (Lehmann) is a mainstay within our team and a very important player for the whole squad.
"On and off the pitch, I am delighted to know he is going to remain with us."
