Striker attracting attention from both Germany and abroad

Schalke manager Felix Magath has announced Erik Jendrisek will be allowed to leave the club next month. The 24-old-year joined the club in the summer from Kaiserslautern but has featured just twice as a substitute for Schalke. His lack of first-team action prompted Jendrisek to tell his manager that he would be seeking to join a club where he would feature more prominently.

Keen

"I am assuming that he is going to leave us and I can understand that from his point of view," Magath told kicker-Sportmagazin. "There are many clubs keen on him both from within and outside the Bundesliga, but it is totally up to him where he goes." Jendrisek is contracted to the club until 2013.
