Brazil international poised to return to his homeland
Werder Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs has scotched reports they have already agreed a deal for Wesley Lopes Beltrame to return Brazil.
The Bundesliga outfit signed the midfielder from Santos in the summer of 2010 on a four-year deal.
In his first season at the Weserstadion he established himself as a regular in the team, but this term his appearances have been more sporadic because of disciplinary issues with the club.
His on-going problems have led to speculation in the media that Palmeiras could offer him a route home.
But Allofs has dismissed those rumours and told
Deutsche Persseagentur:
"Wesley is under contract with us," he said. "He has not been playing regularly and we have been considering his situation.
"There are clubs looking at him and, we have begun talks with them. Still there is a very long way to go. Nothing is concrete or been agreed at this moment in time."
