Winger wants to pledge his future to German side Hamburg

Chelsea misfit Gokhan Tore is ready to begin talks with German outfit Hamburg over an extension to his contract, with his current deal having only 18 months left to run. The Turkey international, who was born in Cologne, returned to his homeland at the start of the season after a brief spell with the London club, following Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen and players Michael Mancienne and Jacopo Sala to the Bundesliga. "I would like to stay on for a longer amount of time," Tore told German paper Bild. "Everyone feels safer, more appreciated, if they are on a longer contract." The winger is currently recovering from an injury and boss Thorsten Fink is confident he will be back to full fitness by mid-March. "Gokhan is back in training, "Fink told Hamburger Morgenpost. " At first he will do just a light version of training though as he cannot stand the whole sessions. That will take two more weeks."
