Werder Bremen goalkeeper Tim Wiese has signed a new contract with an unnamed club for next season.
He had recently revealed that he will be leaving on a Bosman free transfer at the end of the campaign and has now explained that he has found a new employer.
But the Germany international has not disclosed the identity of the club, or whether the club is even in his homeland or not.
Schalke were thought to be one of the side's chasing the 30-year-old but they have since distanced themselves from making a move.
Wiese has made 24 appearances in the Bundesliga this season, keeping five clean sheets, but Werder Bremen have dropped down the table into eighth place.
Silverware
Wiese has admitted that he is looking forward to challenging for trophies with his new club.
He told
Sport-BILD: "I have signed a long-term deal with my new club. It is a club that will fight for silverware in the long run and that is financially not close to being bankrupt.
"My decision was mainly about the future of the club. I am getting good future options.
"I did not want to struggle in the lower regions of a league. I want to go for the silverware. Being under a positive pressure."
