Striker seals Weserstadion switch
Werder Bremen have bolstered their attacking options with the addition of Duisburg's Sandro Wagner.
The Bundesliga side have snapped up the 22-year-old from the Second Division outfit for an undisclosed fee.
The Germany Under-21 international has signed a four-and-a-half year contract after passing a medical.
Wagner is recovering from a torn knee ligament and should be available for action in the coming weeks.
The striker admits he is a Werder fan and that joining the Weserstadion club is a dream switch.
Nearly fit
"Things are going well. The operation was only four months ago, but I can practically train fully already," said the striker.
"Nevertheless, I will take a bit more time to be able to take my chance at Bremen when I am 100 per cent fit.
"I can hardly wait. The transfer to Werder is a dream come true for me as I join the club I supported as a child.
"As soon as I heard that I had the chance to move to the Weser, my decision was made despite having a few other offers."
