Brazil midfielder Wesley did not hesitate when offered the chance to move from Werder Bremen to Palmeiras.
A reported €6million (£5m) deal was finalised on Monday to allow the 24-year-old to remain in his homeland, where he had been training since the start of 2012.
And after two seasons in the Bundesliga, the former Santos player had sought a move back to Brazil.
"I am very excited. I have been training at Palmeiras for a while now," Wesley said in a statement on Palmeiras'
official website.
"Since I was in Europe, I have had several offers. But when Palmeiras' interest came up, I was delighted and did not have to think twice."
