Full-back not looking to join a Bundesliga rival

Brazilian full-back Rafinha insists he would be happy to see out his contract at Schalke and has suggested he would not join another Bundesliga club. Rafinha's future was the subject of intense speculation during the January transfer window, with Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg reported to be interested. Wolfsburg were eventually unwilling to pay a large fee for the 24-year-old, who is under contract at Schalke until 2011. He admits he would be keen to play in a different league in the future, but is in no rush to secure a move away from Schalke at the end of this season.

No interest

"I have a contract to run until June 2011 and I have no interest in leaving Schalke," Rafinha told spox.com. "Personally, I have a management and if there are talks with other clubs, then it is not really me talking to them. I do focus on football. "A transfer to another country is still an option in future times that I do not want to miss out on, but in Germany, Schalke has become my club. "I like it here very much, I am part of a great squad and I have never said I desperately want to move to either Munich or Wolfsburg."
