Bayern starlet extends deal with Bundesliga giants
Bayern Munich have rewarded Germany international striker Thomas Muller with an improved two-year extension to his contract.
The 20-year-old was one of the World Cup's star players after scoring five goals in the summer tournament in South Africa.
Muller still had three years left on his existing Bayern contract, but is now tied to the Bundesliga giants until the summer of 2015.
President Karl-Heinze Rummenigge is more than happy to reward the youngster with improved terms with reports speculating he is now pocketing around €3million a year (£2.5m).
"Bayern rewards performance and Thomas Mueller's performances last season were extraordinary," explained Rummenigge.
"Thomas has given us a lot of joy, he won the German league title and German Cup, and played in the Champions League final. We are very happy to know that his long-term future is with Bayern."
Muller added: "I feel at home at Bayern. I am proud to be wearing the Bayern colours for the next five years."
