Goalkeeper delighted to sign new contract

Bayern Munich have signed a professional contract with goalkeeper Maximilian Riedmuller from their reserves. The 23-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year contract and will become new Bayern manager Jupp Heynckes' fourth goalkeeper in his first-team squad. Riedmuller will have to compete for a place with Germany international Manuel Neuer, Hans-Jorg Butt and Rouven Sattelmaier. He told Bayern's official website: "I am absolutely delighted to have signed a professional contract at this club. "I am happy to receive this sort of trust from Bayern Munich. I am well aware of my role inside the team and club and I will push forward to make a good progress as a player." In the past two campaigns, Riedmuller featured in 33 matches in the third tier of German football.
