Midfielder to spend next season on loan at second-tier side

Young midfielder Marvin Knoll will spend next season on loan at Dynamo Dresden from promoted Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin. The 12-month deal, which does not include an option to buy, will see the Germany Under-20 international ply his trade in the second division. Knoll, who is contracted in Berlin until June 2013, made his first-team debut for Hertha last season, featuring twice for the senior team. Dynamo Dresden general manager Steffen Menze has the 20-year-old in his first-team plans for next term. "Marvin Knoll is a young player that is holding a certain talent and he will have his chances playing first-team for Dynamo Dresden in the season," Menze told the club's official website. "We will be trying to hand him the chance to show his talents in the league. We are happy to have him here for the season." Knoll penned his first senior deal at Hertha Berlin last year after coming through the youth ranks at the club. The attacking midfielder has won five caps for Germany U20s, while he also featured at U17 level.
