Tretschok and Covic form double-team
Hertha Berlin have confirmed the appointment of Rene Tretschok as their caretaker manager ahead of Saturday's match against defending Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund.
The club's former Under 19 manager will take charge in the wake of the sacking of Michael Skibbe, who was fired after just five games in charge.
Tretschok will be assisted by Hertha Under 15 boss Ante Covic, with both men former players of the club and ex-team-mates of under-pressure general manager Michael Preetz.
Hertha media spokesperson Peter Bohmbach said: "Rene Tretschok and Ante Covic will serve as coaches of the first team.
"Both will prepare the team for the upcoming Bundesliga fixture against Borussia Dortmund."
Hertha were managed by Markus Babbel until December, when he was sacked due to a contractual dispute.
