Hannover want to sign contract extensions with forward Jan Schlaudraff and midfielder Manuel Schmiedebach.
The first-team regulars could both leave awd-Arena as free agents at the end of the season when their current deals expire.
But Hannover chairman Martin Kind has insisted both former Germany international Schlaudraff and Schmiedebach will be involved in negotiations before Christmas.
Kind said: "Jan Schlaudraff and Manuel Schmiedebach are regulars in our team and we have lined up contract talks with both of these players for December.
"We have the desire to sign long-term contracts with both players."
