Japan international Shinji Kagawa has completed his move to Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.
The 21 year-old, rated as one of Asia's most promising players, leaves J-League club Cerezo Osaka after agreeing to a three-year deal with the German outfit.
No financial details of the transfer were disclosed, but the signing is viewed as a coup for Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp, who is a big fan of the versatile midfielder.
In his four seasons at Cerezo, Kagawa scored 55 goals in 125 games to make him a surprise omission from Takeshi Okada's World Cup squad.
But he is now focusing on club football and adapting to his new surroundings, he told Dortmund's
official website: "The first training was very tough. I can't say yet how long it will take before I get used to the physical game here in Germany.
"But I think that I will adapt to it very quickly and also establish myself in the team."
Outstanding talent
He added: "The language is more difficult than I thought. But I approach this thing as if I want to become a German in order to learn the language as quickly as possible."
Klopp agreed that it is vital for Kagawa to swiftly learn to speak German in order to help him settle into life with Dortmund.
He said: "The language needs to be learned as quickly as possible. It makes communication with the team-mates on and off the pitch a lot easier and integration into the team a lot faster."
Klopp also thinks highly of the youngster, he added: "Shinji is a quick and agile player. An outstanding talent."
Meanwhile, Ghana World Cup star Andre Ayew is being linked with a move to Dortmund or Schalke.
Reports claim that Marseille have received €5million (£4.1m) bids for the player from both clubs, but the French side are understood to be unwilling to sell.
