Two contract renewals and more to come at Dortmund

Dortmund forward Kevin Grosskreutz has put pen to paper on a two-year extension with the Bundesliga giants. The promising 22-year-old, who has been capped by the German national side, agreed terms verbally earlier this month and has kept to his word by signing the proposal. Grosskreutz has been instrumental in Dortmund's revival this season, with the 1997 UEFA Champions League winners leading the Bundesliga table by seven points. Boss Jurgen Klopp, who has been in charge since May 2008, has lead his side to 12 wins from 14 games, earning himself a new two-year extension to his contract in the process. Meanwhile, defensive youngster Marcel Schmelzer is poised to agree new terms while goalkeeper and club captain Roman Weidenfeller is also expected to extend his deal, which expires next summer.
