Defending champions Stuttgart breathed life into their season with victory at home to Bayer Leverkusen as Wolfsburg eased to three points over Nurnberg. Schalke took a 14th minute lead at home to Bremen through Carlos Javier Grossmuller, but the second-placed visitors claimed a point through Naldo's 34th minute goal. Hertha Berlin won 2-0 at home to Bochum thanks to an own goal from Marcel Maltritz on 26 minutes and a Marko Pantelic effort six minutes later.
