Japanese attacking midfielder Yuki Otsu has joined Borussia Moenchengladbach on a three-year contract.
The 21-year-old earns a move to the Bundesliga side after impressing while on trial there two weeks ago.
Otsu, capped once at Under-22 level for Japan, arrives in Moenchengladbach from native outfit Kashiwa Reysol.
Sports director Max Eberl said: "Yuki Otsu is a wide attacking player who made a good impression in test games and we are pleased to have agreed on a transfer with his club."
The youngster made his senior debut in the J-League for Kashiwa in 2008 and went on to make 57 league appearances, scoring six goals.
Otsu is expected to fly to Germany this weekend to join up with his Moenchengladbach team-mates.
