Excelsior 2-0 NEC Nijmegen: Tom van Weert secures Eredivisie win

Tom van Weert scored twice to give Excelsior a much-needed 2-0 victory over NEC Nijmegen in the Eredivisie on Friday.
The Kralingers, who had slipped to 16th after a winless run of 12 matches, took the lead as Van Weert fired home from the edge of the box after 13 minutes.
The striker added his second of the match - and eighth of the season - within the last 10 minutes when he connected with Adil Auassar's through ball.
Excelsior are now level on points with 15th-placed Willem II, who face Vitesse Arnhem on Saturday, while the visitors missed the chance to go fourth as they remain four places further back having collected only two points in February.
