PSV Eindhoven extended their lead at the top of the Eredivisie with a 4-0 win over struggling Willem II at Philips Stadion.

With Heerenveen not in action until Sunday when they host out-of-form Ajax, Phillip Cocu's side moved four points clear after a third straight win.

Following a frustrating first half for the home side, Mexican Hirving Lozano broke the deadlock four minutes into the second half.

PSV then struck twice in the space of just three minutes. Uruguay forward Gaston Pereiro nodded in from close range before Lozano added a third just before the hour.

Marco van Ginkel completed the scoring from the penalty spot with 20 minutes left.

Zwolle are in third place after a stoppage-time goal from Youness Mokhtar grabbed a 3-2 win over Groningen, who finished with 10 men.

Japan forward Ritsu Doan put the visitors ahead in the 15th minute, but Zwolle were swiftly level through Stefan Nijland.

Tom van Weert made it 2-1 to Groningen following a corner, only for New Zealander Ryan Thomas to equalise on the hour.

Both sides looked set for a point before Van Weert was shown a red card. Zwolle, though, made their man advantage count when Mokhtar slotted home a winner in the third minute of added time.

A late goal from Tom Beugelsdijk gave Den Haag a 1-0 win at Breda.

In Saturday's final evening kick-off, Venlo climbed into the top six after a 2-0 victory at Excelsior, with goals in each half from midfielder Clint Leemans and forward Ralf Seuntjens.
