Ajax have announced that they have reached an agreement to sign South Korean forward Hyun Jun Suk.

Forward agrees 18-month contract at Amsterdam Arena

Ajax have announced that they have reached an agreement to sign South Korean forward Hyun Jun Suk. The 18-year-old FC Young-In player has been on trial with the Eredivisie outfit and sufficiently impressed manager Martin Jol to earn an 18-month contract. Suk will now become an Ajax player when the winter transfer window opens in the New Year and there is also an option to extend his contract by an additional year. A statement on the Dutch club's official website read: "Ajax have reached an agreement with Hyun Jun Suk. "The South Korean forward will sign a contract in Amsterdam, starting on 1st January, 2010 which will be valid until 30th June, 2011." Suk said: "I am looking forward to playing for Ajax. I am eager to get a lot of fans in my native country and playing for an illustrious team such as Ajax will certainly help."
